The Hidden Fabric Music Project is composed of young classically-trained musicians from across the United States and Canada. Our team members include alumni of Juilliard, New England Conservatory, Yale University, Peabody Institute of Music, San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and other distinguished schools. We are a collective of professional artists who have dedicated our lives to an art form that has the power to communicate without words.
However, in the midst of our community's struggle with COVID-19, we have lost the most important partner in our craft: our audiences. The pandemic has highlighted the needs in our community - the need to create, but even more than that, the need to be heard. HFMP is our way to engage with audiences, old and new, and to reaffirm our belief that to be human is to be connected.
Words? Music? No: it’s what’s behind. -- James Joyce
The Hidden Fabric Music Project (HFMP) connects one musician to one listener, one video call at a time. Our classically-trained team of musicians share their voices with anyone seeking a meaningful connection, creating and maintaining the magical relationship between performer and listener.
